As a distinguished actor, Howard brings years of experience and adds a vibrant viewpoint on Bay Area Theatre, with fresh insight into our conversations centered around the “New American Theatre”. Howard is slated to appear as Hoss in our upcoming production of Sam Shepard’s Tooth of Crime.

About Howard Swain
Howard Swain is a local Bay Area actor with theatre credits that span coast to coast as well as television and film. He has worked on the national tours of ‘Picasso At The Lapin Agile’ and ‘Love, Janis’. He has also performed at West Edge Opera in Phillip Glass’ “Hydrogen Jukebox”, Laguna Beach Playhouse, and off-Broadway at The New York Theatre Workshop. Bay Area credits include American Conservatory Theater, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, San Jose Repertory Theatre, TheatreWorks, Aurora Theatre, San Jose Stage, Magic Theatre, Overtone Theatre, Theatre-On-the-Square, TheatreFirst, Symmetry Theatre, Eureka Theatre, Word For Word, SF Playhouse, Center REPertory Company, Intersection, Playground, and Marin Theatre Company as well as Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Santa Cruz Shakespeare, Marin Shakespeare Festival, and California Shakespeare Festival.
