land acknowledgement
The Stage respectfully acknowledges the benefits and origins of its venue. We present our productions on land stolen from the Indigenous peoples in the region of the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe. Over the years we have brought Indigenous shamans from the Ohlone Tribe into the space to bless the building and ask permission to continue the ‘oral tradition’ of storytelling. We honor and recognize that the Ohlone people are a vital part of our community today. We are grateful to live, learn, and work on their ancestral lands while continuing, in some form, the tradition of oral storytelling. The Stage seeks to support and deepen our connections with our Native American community. Please contact us if you have ways for The Stage to support our Indigenous peoples.
