Carlo Epps Named Development Associate
Carlo Epps Joins San Jose Stage STAFF as new Development associate

As San Jose Stage Company launches its 38th Season, we enter a new and exciting era of growth for the organization. In an effort to support this expansion and the continuation of progress in our community, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Carlo Epps as our new Development Associate. Carlo is a San Jose native whose vast experience in grant writing and community service spans the greater Bay Area. Carlo is excited to join the Team at San Jose Stage Company after having spent years as a devoted audience member. In his new role, Carlo will aid in expanding on The Stage’s impact within our vibrant community and beyond.
Carlo has been involved in the theatre and dance worlds for over 15 years with companies across the Bay Area including; Children’s Musical Theatre San Jose (CMTSJ), Studio 10 Dance, Dance Theatre International, Los Gatos Elite Gymnastics, West Valley Gymnastics School, Bay Aerials Gymnastics, and California Youth Outreach. Carlo received his MA in Applied Sociology with an emphasis in grant writing and program evaluation from Northern Arizona University. Carlo currently serves on CMTSJ’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee where he is helping promote more equality, diversity, and inclusion within the organization’s practices. In addition, his grant writing for Red Ladder Theatre Company has helped under-served and marginalized communities to improve and enrich lives through the art form of theatre. Other development and outreach experience include Northern Arizona University and GreenMouse Recycling (where he served as the Marketing Manager). GreenMouse Recycling provides training programs for at-risk high school students and young adults. He brings with him a broad background in community involvement and social justice. Carlo looks forward to incorporating his passion for theatre with his expertise in fund development and community engagement to support San Jose Stage Company’s expansion and growth.
